General purpose crystal polystyrene (GPPS) is a transparent polymer formed by polymerisation of the monomer styrene. Properties & Characteristics Good transparency GPPS is a clear, transparent material, ideal for applications where visibility and aesthetics are important, such as packaging or display products. Low residual monomer This material contains very little unpolymerized monomer, making it safer for food applications and reducing the risk of chemical migration. Mold dimension stability GPPS maintains its dimensions and shape after molding, guaranteeing high precision and consistent quality of finished products. Good heat resistance It resists high temperatures well, enabling it to be used in environments where it is exposed to heat without deforming. Easy processing This material is easy to process by molding, extrusion or thermoforming, making it economical and efficient for mass production.
