Ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) is a copolymer resin used for its light weight and excellent foaming properties. This material is used in footwear, sports and leisure applications. The material is also used as a sealing solution in packaging because of its flexibility and resistance to low temperatures. Properties & Characteristics Flexibility and transparency EVA is highly flexible, ideal for applications requiring malleability and shock absorption, such as shoe soles, protective coatings and soft toys. Its transparency or translucency means it can be used in packaging films and medical products. Lightweight It is very easy to handle and transport, making it ideal for industrial applications. High water repellency EVA is advantageous for applications exposed to moisture (swimming pool linings, roofing materials). Low melting temperature EVA melts at relatively low temperatures, down to -75°F, making it easy to process and mould. Excellent durability and resistance EVA is durable and resistant to wear, impact, chemicals and UV rays, extending the life of products. It is also tear and puncture resistant, making it reliable for protective applications and robust packaging. High coefficient of friction EVA has a high coefficient of friction, providing good grip and traction, making it ideal for shoe soles, non-slip flooring and sports materials. Recyclable EVA products can be reprocessed into new products after their initial use, reducing waste and environmental impact. Can reduce noise and low thermal conductivity It absorbs vibrations and sound impacts, making it ideal for sound insulation in floor mats and building materials.
